President, Asia. Included in these assignments was the search for a President, Asia for a private equity owned manufacturing company. The professional would be living in China and working throughout Asia, requiring excellent manufacturing capabilities as well as thorough knowledge of the working culture in these countries. Working with our Shanghai partner, The Governance Group engineered the successful hire of a 25 year veteran in this niche business with over 17 years experience in Asia. Previous hires for this firm included a CFO for Europe, based in Germany.
Chief Investment Officer. The Governance Group also took on the replacement of a Chief Investment Officer for an established investment management firm looking to enhance their successful international and domestic offerings. From a candidate pool of European, Asian and American investment professionals, the firm hired an exceptional international CIO/portfolio manager.

Sr. Investment Consultants - 2/1/09
The Governance Group recently placed a senior level actuarial consultant and a senior investment consultant for the New York office with a global human resources consulting firm. The firm was looking to expand their retirement practice through the hiring of a senior consultant with pension actuarial experience. At the same time, the firm was in need of a service professional in New York for their investment consulting practice. The Governance Group responded with experienced, senior level professionals who not only met the competency requirements, but also fit seamlessly into the culture of the firm.
With excellent expertise in the retirement and investment consulting arena, The Governance Group went on to work with a boutique investment consultancy to expand their team, resulting in the hiring of two senior professionals. Controller/Senior Finance Executive Hired by West Coast Firm - 12/1/08
With their CFO resigning, a West Coast investment manager was looking at re-organizing their accounting department and hire an executive to lead the group. In concert with The Governance Group, a Senior Finance Executive/Controller was hired to lead the group in a highly regulated industry. The ability to create and lead a "team" while providing leading edge and transparent accounting practices were critical competencies needed. The new Controller came on board in Q4 2008 and has already made a positive impact on team attitude and cohesiveness during a very difficult economic time.
